Young mathematicians test their skills 22-07-2012

TALENTED primary school pupils gathered together at Kenilworth School this month to compete against one another.
The schools each sent a team of four talented year six mathematicians, aged ten and 11, to compete in the Primary Mathematics Challenge.
The youngsters took part in a morning of group problem-solving activity, which included a shape construction round, a cross-number and a fast paced relay round.
Clinton Primary School emerged as the winners with its team consisting of Henry Wei, John Cherry, Holly Ballard and Janina Branke.
Priors Field School came second but teachers said all the teams demonstrated considerable mathematical talent.
