The Post-Graduate and Research Department of Mathematics, Loyola College, Chennai, is organising ‘Fr. Racine International Mathematics Congress’ from July 23 to 25.
“The Congress aims to bring together academicians, scientists, engineers, industrial researchers and students to exchange and share their ideas and experiences, interact and discuss the practical challenges about the aspects of applied mathematics and computer sciences,” said Dr. A. Victor Devadoss, secretary, Racine Mathematical Congress. “As researchers, practitioners and policy-makers, we need to ensure that we contribute to the values and goals of mathematics for sustainable development. The challenges we face in all spheres of development and governance is not what to teach, but how to bring an effective way of learning,” he added.
Nine international conferences, including seminars on Bio-Informatics, Internet Computing, Computer Graphics, Software Engineering Research and Practice and Advances in Environmental Sciences will be held as part of the Congress in different venues in the college campus.
