Solving Math puzzle is a dynamic strategy in learning process. Formulator Tarsia is a free software which allows you to create puzzles based on jigsaw activities. The students are given a set of tiles which must be matched edge-to-edge to complete the shape. Mathematical questions are given along these edges. Jigsaw puzzles can be created based on triangle, square, rectangle, rhombus, parallelogram, hexagon and parquet patterns of tesselating shapes.

This is one sample which I have created for revising algebraic formulae. Students are asked to cut triangles on page 1 and page 2. 
They are then asked to arrange triangle cutouts to form the following shape. In the process, students use math concepts (here formulae ) as hint for making the desired shape.
