The Chariot Festival is a huge Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath held at Puri in the state of Odisha, India. This festival this year on 10th July 2013 was attended by over 11 million devotees at Puri. This festival gave us an opportunity to meet and discuss with His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Puri matters pertaining to the subject of Vedic Mathematics.
His Holiness enlightened us on the concepts of zero and gave us the link between Spirituality and Mathematics. He also said deep study of Mathematics can help attain Salvation. His Holiness shared with us simplified examples to understand the nature of numbers which can be found in his nine books.
